The frequency of your servicing depends very much on your usage. If you’re a family that is constantly having your air-conditioning on, chances are, you will need to do maintenance and servicing on your unit sooner.

Regular Usage
If you use your air-conditioning 6-8 hours daily, it is recommended that you service & maintain your air-conditioning more often.
Dust & dirt tend to accumulate on your air-conditioning filter and over time will decrease the efficiency of your air-conditioning unit.
For daily usage, we recommend general aircon servicing to be done on your aircon once every 3 months
Occasional Usage
For homeowners that use their aircon less often, you may choose to service your aircon on a longer interval.

How to Maintain & Service Your Air-Conditioner

5 Things To Check & Clean
1: Gently lift the cover of your air-conditioning. Inspect & clean the aircon filters
For a start, the most basic thing you can do as a homeowner is to ensure that the air-conditioning filters are clean and well maintain. The aircon filter is easily accessible by gently opening the front of your air-conditioning cover.
To clean your aircon filters, you can either use a wet cloth to wipe it down or use water and soap to wash the dust off.
2: Inspect Your Air-Conditioning Coil
After removing the aircon filter for cleaning, take some time to inspect and touch the aircon coil which sits just behind the filters. Gently touch and inspect to see if there is gel-like sustains forming on your aircon coil.
This gel-like sustain is formed by moisture and dust and is the common cause of air-conditioning leaks.
3: Inspect Your Air-Conditioning Blower
After inspecting your air-conditioning coil, the next thing is to look at will be your aircon blower. You can either use a torch light or use your hand the move along the aircon fins to feel the aircon. If there are some areas where you’re not feeling the aircon, it could likely be that your blower is dirty and cleaning is required.
4: Using an old vacuum to clear the drain pipe

5: Inspect & Clean Your Air-Conditioner Compressor
For most HDB / Condo in Singapore, the compressor can be found on your aircon ledge. Check your aircon compressor to ensure that no leafs and other bugs are trapped on the compressor “net”. By doing this, you can ensure airflow is clear and smooth.
